Learning Personal Energy Management Techniques & Developing Resilience

We are fundamentally a human energy system and everything we do relies on our personal energy. Our “energy system” consists of various forms of energy that combine to create our "performance capability" or our "capacity to do work.” Various forms of energy within our personal energy system include physical energy (chemical, kinetic, radiant), mental energy, emotional energy, and spiritual energy.

While some level of challenge or "healthy pressure" is necessary for optimal performance, cumulative stressors and trauma can lead to physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion, which compromises our health and ability to perform at our best.

Resilience is the reservoir of stored energy you have available —physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually—that you can draw upon to handle daily tasks and life's challenges. Understanding and managing this reservoir is crucial for maintaining balance, avoiding depletion, and meeting life's demands with vitality and strength.

A personalized assessment of the emotions and experiences that deplete and renew your personal energy can be a tremendous tool for facilitating self-awareness and creating optimal health.
